Support GCAT and Indiana Swimming by becoming an Official!
All USA Swimming-sanctioned meets require USA Swimming Officials. GCAT can not host meets without the support of officials. Support GCAT and give back to the team that’s positively impacting your child’s life.
Top Reasons to Become an Official
-
Get Closer to the Action: Enjoy the best seat in the pool and stay in the loop about everything happening during the meet.
-
Deepen Your Knowledge of the Sport: Ever wondered why your child was disqualified? Or what terms like "delay initiating turn" or "false start" really mean? As an official, you'll gain a full understanding of the sport and its rules.
-
Engage More Than Just Watching: Instead of just spectating, become an active part of the action—both mentally and physically—and truly experience the meet.
-
Enjoy Special Perks: As a valued volunteer, you’ll receive free admission, heat sheets, and food during the meets.
-
Meet Supportive People: Build connections with others who are passionate about the sport and get mentored by experienced officials.
-
Make a Real Impact: Don't just watch from the stands—get involved, make a difference, and support your swimmer firsthand.
