Indiana Swimming
Level 2

Greenfield Community Aquatic Team, GCAT, was founded in 2008 by Tom Moore, Greenfield-Central High School head swim coach, and the dedicated parents of swimmers at that time.  The club began with 35 members.

For the first two years, GCAT operated as a branch of the Southeastern Swim Club of Fishers, practicing in the Hamilton Southeastern High School pool, and all GCAT swimmers were members of SSC.

In 2010, GCAT officially stepped away from SSC and began existing as its own entity.  For the first 3 years of existence, GCAT was the fastest growing, and fastest improving swim club in Indiana.  Membership grew to over 85 members.  Swimmers began achieving state cuts, and our first swimmers went to club state championship meets.

In spring 2012, GCAT ranked 36th of 105 swim clubs in Indiana, and grew membership to over 100 swimmers.    Head Coach, Tom Moore, left GCAT for opportunities with a different organization.

June 2012, GCAT welcomed its second head coach with the hiring of Mark Logan.  Mark and his wife, Emily also became the Head Coaches for the men’s and women’s swim teams at Greenfield-Central High School.
